Reliability Analysis and Optimization Allocation for FOWT Systems Based on FTA
In response to the reliability and safety concerns associated with the operation of Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) in marine environments, this study meticulously applies the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method to assess the dependability of the mooring, generator, tower, and floating foundation systems integral to FOWT. By developing comprehensive fault tree models, this research qualitatively determines that the generator and mooring systems are the most susceptible to failure within the context of FOWT, scrutinizing the pivotal failure locations and their underlying causes. Subsequently, quantitative analysis reveals the failure probability of 1.0909xl0-2 for the subsystems and establishes a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 91.66 hours. Through these methods, the paper delves into strategies aimed at optimizing the allocation of reliability, suggesting preemptive measures and a suite of Reliability Optimization Allocation (ROA) methodologies, including the equal allocation method, expected value allocation method, and the AGREE allocation method. Utilizing these approaches, the study aligns the reliability demands of individual subsystems with the overarching system's reliability goals, thereby offering valuable guidance for improving the reliability standards of FOWT.
