Application of Sneak Circuit Analysis in the Safety Classification DCS Burst Valve Control Module of ACP100

With the development of nuclear power control technology and the improvement of requirements for nuclear power plants, burst valves have been introduced into the nuclear safety classification distributed control systems (DCS). In previous studies on the application of burst valves in nuclear power plants, only the sneak path of burst valve controllers (control modules) were analyzed and researched, while the sneak timing was ignored. There are clear timing requirements during the driving process of burst valves. Therefore, the existence of sneak timing in the control module may lead to abnormal burst valve control, causing the burst valve to fail to detonate successfully when needed or misfire when not needed. Aiming at the lack of sneak timing analysis during the development of burst valve control modules, this article introduces Markov chain for sneak timing analysis in the sneak circuit analysis process of ACP100 safety classification DCS burst valve control modules. The analysis results show that Markov chain can effectively detect the sneak timing existing in burst valve control modules.
