Research on the Vibration Airworthiness Compliance Verification Experimental Method for the Electric Propulsion System of a Four-Seater Electric Aircraft

In response to the imperfect airworthiness standards for electric aircraft in China's airworthiness system, and the inability of existing airworthiness regulations to guide the verification of vibration airworthiness compliance of electric propulsion systems for electric aircraft, based on the airworthiness requirements in the “Special Conditions for Electric Propulsion Systems of RX4E Four seater Electric Aircraft”, a study was conducted on the design method for vibration airworthiness compliance of electric propulsion systems, The vibration characteristics of the electric propulsion motor and its impact on the electric propulsion system and aircraft structure were verified through design system vibration tests and durability tests within the working range. The vibration test results indicate that the maximum vibration speed value of the test points under all operating conditions is not greater than 10.16 mm/s (0.4 in/s). During the test, the electric propulsion system operates normally and stably, and the aircraft vibrates smoothly without causing any discomfort to the testing personnel on board. After the durability test has passed through the entire cycle, it is determined that the mechanical and electrical performance of the electric propulsion system has not undergone significant changes after operating at a small section of 150 through calibration data before and after the equipment test, system operation data, and visual inspection before and after the system test. This meets the airworthiness requirements for vibration and provides a basis for the design and verification of vibration compliance of the electric propulsion system.
