Research on Ground Operation Compliance Test Method for Electric Propulsion System and Components of a Four-seat Electric Aircraft

Electric propulsion systems and components are important parts of electric aircraft. In view of the lack of specific compliance verification guidance for the electric propulsion system and components test of electric aircraft in China, based on the airworthiness requirements in special conditions for the Electric Propulsion System of RX4E Four-seat Electric Aircraft, the ground operation compliance test method of the electric propulsion system and components of a certain four-seat electric aircraft was studied. The test environment temperature met the environmental temperature of the low-temperature start-up test, and the low-temperature start-up test and continuous operation test were combined. The test results show that the information displayed by the power-integrated display and control instrument of a four-seat electric aircraft is normal, the running state of the whole aircraft is normal, and the system components are not overheated during the test. The temperature change and working state change of the electric propulsion system and components in operation are consistent with the objective test process and theory and meet the expected functions.
