Application Study of High Performance Graphene/Polyether Composites

The increased voltage level and power density of the power system result in higher currents and overheating at the electrical connection contactors, easily leading to line and equipment failures and damage. On this basis, we prepared a graphene/polyether composite, which can effectively reduce contact resistance. To verify the performance of our products, comparison experiments of graphene/polyether composite and several common products in the power system were carried out. The results showed that the volumetric resistivity of the graphene/polyether composite was only 1.6x104Ω • m, and the dropping point was higher than 330°C (The standard is 200°C). Besides, the stabilization factor of contact resistance after the salt spray test was only 0.81 (The standard is 1.5), and the stability coefficient of contact resistance after the temperature alternating test was only 1.06 (The standard is 1.5). Therefore, graphene/polyether composite's electrical conductivity and antiaging properties are significantly better than those of traditional electrical joint compounds, and it has broad application prospects.
