Reliability Assessment of Distribution Networks with Distributed Photovoltaic Power

This paper utilizes a sequential Monte Carlo analysis-based method for the reliability assessment of distribution networks incorporating distributed photovoltaic (PV) power. The method accounts for the timing of distributed PV power as it is integrated into the system and establishes both an equipment timing model and a power output model. Random numbers are generated according to the probability distribution functions of the distributed PV power and equipment to simulate component operation and fault states within the system. These simulations are then used to calculate the reliability indices of the distribution network. The results demonstrate the accuracy of the method by calculating the reliability parameters of the distributed PV power once it is connected to the system.
