Design and Analysis of a Consequent of Reverse Salient Pole Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
In this paper, a new type of consequent of reverse salient pole permanent magnet synchronous motor (CRS-PMSM) is proposed, which is characterized by high torque output and low torque pulsation. Its innovation is to realize the characteristic of reverse poles by adding magnetic bridges and grids, and to replace the N-pole PM poles with iron cores to improve the utilization rate of PM and obtain a larger output torque. First, the topology of the motor is introduced. Secondly, the structural parameters of the motor are optimized using the multi-objective optimization method. Finally, the contribution of each harmonic of the motor air-gap magnet density to the torque is deduced based on the Maxwell tensor method, and the reason for the torque enhancement of the CRS-PMSM motor is analyzed in terms of the torque generation mechanism by comparing it with the RS-PMSM motor. The results show that the CRS-PMSM has a larger torque than the RS-PMSM due to its richer modulating waveforms, which leads to a larger torque component contributed by its modulating waveforms.
