First record of the family Schizopodidae (Coleoptera) from Cretaceous Kachin amber

A new tribe, Cretadystaxiini trib. nov. (type genus: Cretadystaxia gen. nov.) with Cretadystaxia burmanica gen. et sp. nov., of the family Schizopodidae is described and illustrated from late Cretaceous Kachin amber. The new tribe is similar to the tribe Dystaxiini, but differs in the 11-segmented antennae, striate elytra, the weakly bisinuate base of the pronotum and the flattened body. This is the first record of the family Schizopodidae in Cenomanian Burmese amber.
