Áreas verdes multifuncionais:

Given the growing importance attributed to the concept of green infrastructure, this work, the result of the main author's master's thesis, aims to identify, through three case studies, whether the planning structures of some green areas in São José dos Campos- SP followed a model aimed at projecting green infrastructure. For that, the places were visited in order to observe the ecosystem services provided and if the green areas were connected to other green elements in the vicinity. The analyzes carried out allowed us to conclude that the municipality, from the point of view of these three case studies, was able to experiment with new green areas that were multifunctional and effective in providing ecosystem services when it came to parks, but ineffective with regard to small green areas. . The results found allow us to hope that green areas, like the case studies, designed in the future, will follow the same path.
