Did court dismiss student's deliberate indifference claim against university?
Jane Doe, a former University of Virginia student, accused Professor John Roe of sexually assaulting her during a year‐long period. Doe participated in a university trip to Europe, led by Professor Roe and another faculty member. During the trip, Doe alleged Roe assaulted her after a dinner in Vienna, Austria. Roe allegedly assaulted Doe on two additional occasions during the trip. Doe told the second faculty member that she was in a consensual relationship with Roe, which started during the trip. However, Roe ended contact about a year after the trip.
