Terminologia Anatomica of the lower limb veins in diagnostic imaging: deep and perforating veins. Second part

The anatomy of the venous system of the lower limbs has been full of imprecise terms and eponyms that make it difficult to understand, communicate and treat the pathologies that affect them.Terminologia Anatomica (TA) has come to banish these problems. This article aims to be a contribution to the study of the venous anatomy of the deep and perforating system, incorporating the use of TA, which corresponds to the official human anatomical nomenclature, for the study of anatomy, the realization and interpretation of imaging tests, such as ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and phlebography. It corresponds to the second part of the article "Terminologia Anatomica of the veins of the lower limbs in diagnostic imaging: saphenous, accessory and communicating veins".
