Management of Power Grid Modes in Conditions of High Heterogeneity

This work is the result of research on the problem of controlling the modes of electric power networks. The work focuses on methods and technical means of correcting the parameters of the modes of electric networks in conditions of their heterogeneity. The idea of the work is to use volt-added transformers to equalize the potentials of long networks powered by several sources by switching windings that excite different phases of the network. The paper reflects the design of such transformers and the results of their computational and experimental study, including in operating networks.

Abstract

This work is the result of research on the problem of controlling the modes of electric power networks. The work focuses on methods and technical means of correcting the parameters of the modes of electric networks in conditions of their heterogeneity. The idea of the work is to use volt-added transformers to equalize the potentials of long networks powered by several sources by switching windings that excite different phases of the network. The paper reflects the design of such transformers and the results of their computational and experimental study, including in operating networks.
