A CORPS Beamforming Network for Time Modulated Circular Arrays

This paper presents a CORPS beamforming network for a Time Modulated Circular Array. The design of the CORPS network allows to reduce the number of Time Modulators needed to perform beam-steering in the azimuth and elevation planes, while keeping a low sideband radiation. Full wave simulation of the CORPS network is presented to validate the proposed design.

Abstract

This paper presents a CORPS beamforming network for a Time Modulated Circular Array. The design of the CORPS network allows to reduce the number of Time Modulators needed to perform beam-steering in the azimuth and elevation planes, while keeping a low sideband radiation. Full wave simulation of the CORPS network is presented to validate the proposed design.
