Modified Design Based On Parallel Coupled Band Pass Filter

With the advent of 5G technology, the demand for efficient capable of mitigating adjacent noise while maintaining compactness has intensified. Conventionally, the filters have posed challenges in terms of size, mobility, and installation. The objectives of this research encompass the design and evaluation of the modified filter. Employing a novel approach, the modified filter incorporates additional quarter-wavelength transmission lines to enhance attenuation and achieve transmission zero symmetry, thereby exhibiting performance equal to higher order filters within a reduced size footprint. Methodologically, CST EM simulation is utilized for both proposed and conventional designs of the filter. Findings will indicate that the expected outcomes from the modified first-order filter should demonstrate comparable or superior performance to higher-order filters while significantly reducing size. The percentage of size reduction achieved by modified filter compared to the conventional design is up to 50%.
