Evaluating the Effects of Multiple circRNAs Combinations on Cell Reprogramming
The roles of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in cell reprogramming were investigated in this study to identify their potential as targets for enhancing regenerative medicine techniques. Several circRNAs influencing cellular reprogramming were identified in bioinformatics analysis and animal model development. While most circRNAs were found to support reprogramming processes, others exhibited unexpected behaviors, possibly due to complex interactions within cellular or microenvironmental contexts. Advanced CRISPR/Cas9 and RNAi technologies were used to manipulate circRNA levels, revealing their dual roles in cellular transformation: some promoting while others inhibiting these changes. These findings underscore the potential of circRNAs as regulators within regenerative medicine, opening new avenues for therapeutic development. However, the study was primarily on in vitro experiments, and animal models limit the direct applicability of the findings to human conditions. Future research has been planned to validate these results using human cell models (cell lines and organoids) across a broader array of cell types and conditions. This approach was expected to fully leverage their potential in personalized medicine, potentially leading to more effective tailored approaches to cell reprogramming and improvements in regenerative medicine therapies.
