On a method of approximating potential fields with discontinuous boundary conditions

The paper considers numerical simulation of the approximation of a potential field withgiven discontinuous boundary conditions using a classical basis of harmonic functions, which is enriched by harmonic functions with discontinuous traces at the boundary of thedomain. It is shown that this method can be applied to noisy data.

Abstract

The paper considers numerical simulation of the approximation of a potential field withgiven discontinuous boundary conditions using a classical basis of harmonic functions, which is enriched by harmonic functions with discontinuous traces at the boundary of thedomain. It is shown that this method can be applied to noisy data.
