Performance Comparison of Slotted Inverted F Tri-Band Antenna and Slotted P Tri-Band Antenna for Wi-Fi, Wi-Max Applications
In this paper, a performance comparison is made between Slotted Inverted F Tri-band microstrip monopole antennas and Slotted P Tri-band microstrip monopole antennas. Both types of antennas have various positions and stubs to create resonant frequencies at “2.4” GHz for Wi-Fi, “3.5” GHz for Wi-Max, and “5.5” GHz for Wi-Fi. Relative to the novel slotted P microstrip monopole antenna, the slotted inverted F microstrip monopole antenna exposes enhanced gain and improved S-parameter performance. In contrast, the inverted F -shaped antenna exhibits excellent return loss of “ -23” dB at “2.4” GHz, “ -37.8” dB at “3.5” GHz, and” -33” dB at “5.5” GHz frequencies. The novel slotted P-shaped antenna offers a more compact design with a reduced vertical length. Furthermore, the tri-band capabilities of these antennas enable adaptable application in numerous communication standards, resulting in increased operational flexibility and efficiency.
