Switchable FSS with Dual-Bandstop Functionality for WLAN Applications at 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz
In this paper, square and circular loops are designed in such a way to exhibit dual frequency rejection which is electronically switchable. In order to accomplish switching, the PIN diodes are embedded into the structure as a RF switching element enabling the rejection of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) signals at either 2.45 / 5 GHz frequencies as per requirement. The proposed Frequency Selective Surface structure (FSS) exhibits nearly −30 dB across all the reflective states indicating strong reflectivity and proving itself to be a robust reflector.
