Exploring Healthcare Students’ Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector presents significant opportunities and challenges. As AI technologies evolve, it is essential to understand the perspectives of future healthcare practitioners who will be at the forefront of this transformation. This study explores the perspectives of medical science students and future healthcare practitioners regarding AI. Questionnaire was used to collect the data and descriptive statistical analysis was used to answer the research questions. The analysis of participants responses confirms that future healthcare students generally hold positive attitudes toward AI integration in healthcare and highlights an educational gap, with most participants lacking formal training on AI in healthcare. These results underscore a critical need for targeted AI education in healthcare curricula to foster acceptance, address concerns, and prepare students effectively for AI-integrated careers.
