Miniature Hybrid Quantum Optomechanical Sensors for Acceleration Measurements
A number of applications, particularly aerospace, require accurate, drift-free acceleration measurement with the help of miniature instruments. For such measurements, hybrid quantum optomechanical sensors are used, which provide both high speed measurements using the optomechanical part of the sensor and drift-free measurements that do not require additional calibrations using the quantum part of the sensor. It is proposed to make the quantum part of the sensor based on ensembles of negatively charged nitrogen vacancy (NV) in diamond. Configurations of optomechanical sensors and systems for creating a uniform microwave electromagnetic field applied to an ensemble of NV centers have been proposed. Using mathematical modeling, the effectiveness of the developed systems is shown.
