Modeling and Simulation of Distribution Network with the D-STATCOM and Photovoltaic Power Stations Using MATLAB

The article presents a model of a distribution electrical network, which includes photovoltaic power stations 1 MW and D-STATCOM. By the Simulink MATLAB, the mode of operation of the photovoltaic power stations with a change in the sun irradiance is simulated. At the same time, there are sudden changes in the network voltage and unacceptable voltage deviations. The simulation showed that the installation of D-STATCOM in the 35 kV network allows to reduce voltage fluctuations and ensure standardized power quality indicators.

Abstract

The article presents a model of a distribution electrical network, which includes photovoltaic power stations 1 MW and D-STATCOM. By the Simulink MATLAB, the mode of operation of the photovoltaic power stations with a change in the sun irradiance is simulated. At the same time, there are sudden changes in the network voltage and unacceptable voltage deviations. The simulation showed that the installation of D-STATCOM in the 35 kV network allows to reduce voltage fluctuations and ensure standardized power quality indicators.
