Infrared H-polarized Plane Wave Scattering by Dielectric Cylinder with Coplanar Graphene Strips
The scattering and absorption of the H-polarized plane wave by a system of coplanar graphene strips inside a dielectric cylinder is considered in the infrared frequency range. We employ a mathematically grounded approach based on the Green's function and hyper-singular integral equations, which are discretized using the meshless Nystrom-type algorithm. Due to the strong dependence of graphene conductivity on the chemical potential, RCS of the structure can be tuned over a wide range, making it greater or smaller than that of the cylinder without the strips. This tunability is especially pronounced near the frequencies of the first plasmon resonance.
