Research on Three-Coupled Inductance Boost Converter Based on Interleaved Parallel Connection
With the relentless progression of China’s aerospace science and technology, Space Solar Power Station (SSPS) development stands out as a pivotal research focus within the nation’s space technology advancement. The research on high-power DC-DC converters is identified as a keystone technology that influences the trajectory of SSPS development. This paper introduces an innovative three-coupled inductor boost converter, leveraging an interleaved parallel connection to cater to the burgeoning demands for high power, high efficiency, and high stability in modern space DC-DC power systems. By integrating three inductors onto a solitary magnetic core through advanced multiple coupled inductor technology, the design not only preserves the original topological attributes of the coupled inductance but also achieves phase-to-phase coupling, enhancing the converter’s steady-state and transient performance. The implementation of interleaved parallel technology has notably diminished the input current ripple, alleviated the current stress on the switching devices, curtailed switching losses, and augmented the overall efficiency of the converter. Finally, the design’s accuracy and effectiveness have been rigorously confirmed through meticulous simulation and the meticulous testing of experimental prototypes.
