A Method for Generating Wind Speed Time Series Data That Effectively Maintains Both Temporal Dependence and Cross-Correlation Characteristics : Quantifying Wind Resource Volatility Risk: The Application of a Novel Stochastic Data Generation Method in

Wind resource volatility poses a critical risk to the securitization of wind power projects, as it directly influences project revenues. Existing methods for assessing wind resources face challenges in accurately quantifying the overall risk due to the stochastic nature and unpredictability of wind fluctuations. This study proposes a novel stochastic data generation method that effectively maintains temporal dependence and cross-correlation characteristics of wind speed time series. By simulating multiple sets of wind resource data, this approach offers a more precise quantification of risk and has the potential to reduce management costs in the securitization of wind power assets. The findings contribute to improved risk management strategies and enhance the robustness of securitization products against wind resource volatility.
