The Analysis of Thermal Characteristics of Lithium-Ion Batteries Based on an Electrochemical Model

To study the characteristics of battery temperature and voltage variation over time and spatial location, a pseudo-two-dimensional (P2D) electrochemical model of lithium-ion batteries is proposed. The model, along with experimental analysis, is used to examine the trends in battery voltage and surface temperature under different charge-discharge rates. The results indicate that the model’s calculations are in close agreement with experimental data and can effectively describe the thermal characteristics of the battery.
