Simulation study of parallel capacitance of vacuum circuit breaker
The DC power system is a promising solution for the power system of the future due to its advantages in renewable energy and improved grid stability. The DC circuit breaker based on the vacuum interrupter is one of the most important devices in the DC power system. However, it is difficult for vacuum circuit breakers to recover dielectric in the process of interrupting high-frequency and high-current, so it is proposed to connect capacitors in parallel at both ends of the vacuum fracture. In order to study the influence of shunt capacitors on the ability of vacuum circuit breakers to break current, a related experimental circuit is designed. In addition, the effects of shunt capacitance and stray inductance on the rate of change of the reverse voltage are compared horizontally, and the optimal circuit parameters are obtained. It lays a foundation for further research on the vacuum breaking process in the future and improving the reliability of circuit breakers in breaking high frequency and high current.
