Method and Algorithm for Light-Cured Multi-Material Printing Based on Robotic Arm

This paper introduces a novel photopolymerization multi-material printing method and system based on robotic arms, designed to address the challenges encountered by existing photopolymerization printing technologies when dealing with complex multi-material structures and high-viscosity material systems. Initially, a new multi-material printing approach utilizing robotic arms is proposed, involving the development of a model for both the robotic arm and the photopolymerization printing system, followed by an analysis of the robotic arm's workspace. Subsequently, path generation and planning algorithms suitable for photo polymerization printing are investigated to facilitate multi-material printing based on robotic arm path tracking, demonstrating the feasibility of this method. This approach offers a new technical pathway for photopolymerization printing of complex multi-material structures.
