Locating of Large-sized Aircraft Panel Assembly with Projection Technology based on AR Technology
When there is rapid improvement in the new generation of information technology, the state perception, real-time analysis, autonomous decision-making and accurate execution during the aircraft assembly process are effective ways to improve the quality and efficiency. In order to further improve the quality and efficiency of aircraft assembly connection, and digitize assembly technology, a projection assisted manual assembly system is presented based on augmented reality (AR) technology. The proposed system can automatically match the corresponding through-hole location and specification information between aircraft products and CATIA model, and the system projects the information onto workpiece surface at one time, making manual assembly connection fast and productive. This system has high accuracy in projection, can precisely reflect the mounting location of the connectors.
