Robust Model Predictive Current Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Addressing the dependency of Model Predictive Current Control (MPCC) on precise model parameters, a resilient MPCC framework incorporating a sliding mode observer tailored for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is introduced. Following an examination of the repercussions of model parameter discrepancies on predictive accuracy, a sliding mode observer, grounded on an innovative reaching law, is devised as a substitute for the conventional one-step delay compensation technique utilized in model forecasting. Concurrently, this observer serves to estimate disturbances arising from parameter mismatches and incorporates these estimations into the current prediction model, thus formulating an enhanced, novel current prediction framework. Simulation outcomes affirm that the MPCC, augmented by the refined sliding mode observer, alleviates the impact of parameter mismatches on system performance, ensuring stable operation of the control system even in the presence of such mismatches. This methodology bolsters the system’s robustness while retaining the swift dynamic response inherent to MPCC.
