OPTIMUM TERMS OF REMOVING POTATOES OF BASIC SEED POTATOES IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE RIGHT BANK PART OF THE FORESTS OF UKRAINE.

The article highlights the results of research for the years 2021–2023 regarding the establishment of the optimal term for the removal of potatoes and its impact on the productivity and yield of potato seed material. Determination of the optimal term for the removal of potato varieties selected by the Polissky Experimental Department. The research method is generally accepted for potato culture. The dependence of the influence of the terms of removal of potatoes on the productivity of potato varieties and the yield of tubers of the seed fraction was established. The highest yield was established for the removal of potato plants with their complete death (option 4) in the early variety Opillya 21.2 t/ha, mid-early Vzirets 21.2 t/ha, mid-ripe Bazaliya 22.7 t/ha, Syngaivka 22.9 t/ha. Almost equal productivity during this period of potato removal and at the beginning of its dying (option 3) in the Opillya variety is 19.7 and 21.2 t/ha, respectively. A slightly lower average yield in the 2 nd variant of removing potato crops was established in the Opillya variety 12.9 t/ha, Radomyslia 11.1 t/ha, Vzirets and Bazaliya 13.3 t/ha, Syngaivka 15.8 t/ha. During the years of research, the lowest seed yield was established by removing the potato plant 10 days after flowering (option 2) in the following varieties: Opillya – 9.8t /ha, Radomysl – 9.0t /ha, Vzirets – 10.7 t/ha, Basalia – 10, 6 t/ha, Syngaivka 11.3 t/ha. During the years of research in 2021–2023, the removal of potatoes in the 2nd option provided an average weight of one tuber in varieties of 22–35g. with a tuber mass of 41–61 g in the control, in this case the decrease was 53.0–57.3 %. In the variant with the removal of potatoes 20 days after flowering, the average weight of one tuber was, depending on the potato variety, in the range of 35-57 grams. or a decrease in tuber weight relative to the control by 8.5-9.3 %. Based on the above, it was established that in 2021–2023, a high yield of tubers from one hectare of the sown area was obtained by removing potato plants in the first term (10 days after flowering), which amounted to 506 thousand units/ha of the Opillya variety, Radomysl 513 thousand units/ha, Vzirets 326 thousand units/ha, Bazaliya 406 thousand units/ha, Syngaivka 521 thousand units/ha.
