Comprehensive Solution of Issues of Voltage Regulation and Compensation of Reactive Power in Power Supply and Lighting Systems of Cities
This work was devoted to increasing the efficiency of energy use in power supply and lighting systems for cities, which are characterized by the unity of processes and the territorial distribution of parameters. The main idea of the work is to consider the mutual influence of power supply and lighting systems and their total impact on the technical and economic indicators of electric networks and consumers connected to them. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the low efficiency of power supply and lighting systems in cities. Ignoring their interrelationships leads to losses of voltage and power in networks, a decrease in the efficiency of electricity consumers. Therefore, a comprehensive study of the operation of these systems is important in conditions of shortage of fuel and energy resources. The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of energy use in the power supply and lighting systems of cities. This research investigated how the operation of 10/0.38 kV electric networks in cities affects both the technical and economic performance of the networks and the consumers they serve. Key factors influencing these effects were identified. The study also explored and evaluated scientific and technical solutions to improve the overall efficiency of these urban electrical systems
