A Knowledge-enabled Evaluation System for Mechanized Construction in Power Grid Projects
Mechanized construction is becoming increasingly essential in power grid projects, yet the traditional evaluation methods for mechanization are often manual, time-consuming, and prone to errors. This paper presents an ontology-based approach to quantitatively evaluate mechanized construction applications in power grid projects. Utilizing the Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) and the Protègèenvironment, an ontology model was developed to capture key classes, relationships, and evaluation criteria relevant to mechanized construction. The ontology not only facilitates structured data integration but also enables rule-based reasoning to automate the evaluation process. A case study was conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ontology-based evaluation system. The results highlight the potential of the ontology-based approach to reduce manual effort, enhance knowledge management, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of mechanization evaluations. This study underscores the value of leveraging ontology-driven methodologies to support decision-making and promote the advancement of intelligent mechanized construction in power grid projects.
