Optimization in Speed of a Positional Electric Drive Using Refined Jerk Prediction Technique

Under conditions of limited intermediate coordinates of the electric drive, the problem of parametric optimization of relay systems is extremely simply solved by the N-i switching method. In combination with the technique of refined jerk prediction, previously substantiated for second-order systems, this method ensures that the transient characteristics of a positional electric drive are as close as possible to optimal performance. The use of relay-modal controllers, synthesized by distributing roots based on the parameters of optimal controllers, makes it possible to prevent overshoot and guarantee the extremely aperiodic nature of the transient process. The combined use of the three above-mentioned methodological techniques ensures the synthesis of a position control system with a simple structure and close to optimal performance.
