Design and Optimization of Wearable Antenna Using Slots and DGS for Frequency Detuning and Bandwidth Enhancement
In this article a novel and over volume of 0.408 λ0×0.408 λ0 hexagonal wearable antenna with C- slots for ISM and military applications. This work presents mostly concentrated on the development of a Wideband (WB) wearable antenna with less design complexity and good performance, which emphasizes concerted effort to enhance on-body communication. Hexagonal patch with nested ‘C’-slots enhanced the impedance bandwidth from 1.79 to 7.13 GHz which is suitable for 5G communication, Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth and ISM band (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) bands. In order to obtain a high gain of 2.7dBi, reflection co-efficient is -30.14 dB is achieved at 2.45 GHz. The measured results of fabricated prototype and simulated results are in good agreement.
