The Markov Model of Free Space Optical Network Monitoring System

Based on the analyses conducted in the article a simplified model of the monitoring system for optical networks in free space was developed. A method for monitoring transmitted and received optical signals was provided considering the operational principles of its components. Utilizing the proposed model matrices were constructed to reflect the ergodic chain regularities for establishing transition matrices based on Markov chains. Transition probabilities were calculated to ensure the stable operation of the monitoring system and corresponding graphs were constructed.

Abstract

Based on the analyses conducted in the article a simplified model of the monitoring system for optical networks in free space was developed. A method for monitoring transmitted and received optical signals was provided considering the operational principles of its components. Utilizing the proposed model matrices were constructed to reflect the ergodic chain regularities for establishing transition matrices based on Markov chains. Transition probabilities were calculated to ensure the stable operation of the monitoring system and corresponding graphs were constructed.
