Study on the influence of key operating parameters on the output performance of free piston expander-linear generator

In order to optimize the Free Piston Expander-Linear Generator (FPE-LG) for waste heat recovery, the output performance of FPE-LG is studied. The effects of five Key input operating parameters, including intake pressure, intake duration, expansion duration, exhaust duration and intake temperature, on the output performance of FPE-LG are studied. The qualitative relationship between operating parameters and output performance is analyzed, providing empirical guidance for the development and optimization of subsequent test bench. The results indicate that an increase in intake pressure, intake duration, and intake temperature is beneficial for improving output performance, while the effects of expansion duration and exhaust duration on output performance are not significant.
