Genetic Algorithm for Amplitude Enhancement in Circular Configurations

This paper addresses the challenge of optimizing radiation patterns for a virtual antenna arrays in a Flying Ad-hoc Network (FANET), a critical factor in improving communication system performance. We present a genetic algorithm approach for optimizing the amplitudes of a six-element antenna array arranged in a hexagonal geometry. The methodology combines principles of circular geometry with evolutionary computation, utilizing a fitness function that evaluates the array factor and a dipole element. Our genetic algorithm, demonstrates significant improvement in antenna performance. This approach showcases the potential of genetic algorithms in antenna design automation, offering improved performance and insights into optimal array configurations for FANET applications.
