Determining Dielectric Properties of Wood-Polymer Composite from Secondary Thermoplasts with Modified Wood Filler

The article investigates the dielectric properties of wood-polymer composites. The purpose of the test is to determine the dielectric properties of wood-polymer composites based on secondary raw materials during their operation. Dielectric permeability, dielectric loss angle tangent, static charge and electrical resistance are investigated. The analysis of the experiments results showed that the investigated samples of the proposed wood-polymer composites, which are impregnated with a modifying mixture, which includes polystyrene foam, have better dielectric properties, which indicates the protection of the wooden filler from the acquisition of moisture during operation, and, accordingly, the preservation of operational characteristics. A description of the effect of acquired moisture on the wood-polymer composites operational characteristics is given.
