The Working Status Monitoring System of OPGW Optical Cable Based on Weak Grating Array
Optical fiber composite overhead ground wire is often affected by natural disasters such as low temperature freezing, so its working status needs to be monitored for troubleshooting. To this end, a fiber optic cable vibration information monitoring system based on weak fiber Bragg grating technology has been proposed. This system is based on grating array sensing technology, which detects changes in external physical quantities by extracting changes in the center wavelength of reflected light to monitor the vibration of OPGW optical cables. A vibration monitoring system is constructed to monitor the operating status of OPGW optical cables based on vibration information. The experimental results show that the measured main frequency has good consistency with the main frequency provided by the excitation source, and fluctuates within the 0.2 Hz range. The designed system has an overall small phase change and good signal propagation stability, with almost no error in measured frequencies. Compared with other systems, this system exhibits better performance and is conducive to protecting the safe operation of optical cables.
