Analysis of Additive Manufacturing Polymer Technologies and Metallization Techniques for the Development of Microwave Devices
This paper presents an approach for manufacturing high-performance microwave communication devices using additive manufacturing (AM) focusing on metal alloys and metallized polymers. We detail the design, fabrication, and characterization of the devices. Comprehensive analyses of manufacturing tolerances, assembling gaps, and material properties alights the relationship between fabrication processes and device performance, demonstrating that AM can develop lightweight, highly integrated microwave components with superior performance and reduced manufacturing costs.
