Combination of Geometries in SRR Structures for Optimizing Electromagnetic Wave Absorption in EMC Applications

This work investigates the electromagnetic absorption efficiency of metamaterials using split-ring resonators (SRR) in combined geometries, specifically integrating circular and square SRRs. Through numerical algorithm, the dimensional parameters were optimized to maximize absorption at specific frequencies. The analyses showed that the combined structures maintain high absorption efficiency, especially at frequencies of $2.5 \mathrm{GHz}, 3.1 \mathrm{GHz}$, and 3.8 GHz, with variations in incidence angles of $30^{\circ} \mathbf{4 5}^{\circ}$, and 60°. Absorption at 3.1 GHz reached up to $\mathbf{9 9 \%}$, suggesting an ideal configuration for higher angles. The results highlight the importance of considering the incidence angle in the design of metamaterials, reinforcing the potential of these materials in practical applications, such as radar systems and electromagnetic protection.
