Grating array vibration for detecting the operational status of optical fiber composite overhead ground wire and cable
The research aims to apply grating array vibration sensing technology to detect and monitor the operational status of optical fiber composite overhead ground wire cables. The corresponding experiments were designed to verify whether the wind induced vibration of the optical cable conforms to the string vibration model. The corresponding data processing methods are used to demodulate the frequency and standing wave half wavelength of the vibration signal. The experimental results indicate that the wind induced vibration of the optical cable conforms to the theory of string vibration. The frequency and standing wave half wavelength of the vibration signal can be accurately demodulated. Under different tension values and exciter frequencies, the vibration data of grating array sensors exhibit obvious characteristics, providing a reliable monitoring method for the operation status of optical cables. The innovative points proposed in the research have brought new technical means and theoretical support to the optical fiber composite overhead ground wire and cable operation status detection, making beneficial contributions to ensuring the stable operation of the power communication network.
