Robust Control of Multiple Energy System that is Insensitive to the Power Forecast Error
Multiple energy system (or called integrated energy system), including electricity, heat, cooling, and gas, has been emerging in some large or medium industrial parks because it could improve the energy efficiency. Conventional control technologies usually rely on the precise power forecast or abundant data to track the uncertainty of the renewable energy or the load, however these are not so available or economic in the real condition. This paper realized the algorithm of optimally distributing the energy flexibilities into different time sections of a day to cover the uncertainties, and the real-time control of the hardware to maintain the power balance. Typical hardware scenario was formulated for the evaluation of the technology. The result showed that, compared with the conventional technology, the new algorithm could reduce 1.3% energy cost and 2.6% CO2 emission when the renewable energy penetration ratio is 5%; and reduce 4.6% energy cost and 5.9% CO2 emission when the renewable energy penetration ratio is 45%.
