Optimizing RFID Sensor Network Design in Poultry Farms Using The Taguchi Method
The poultry farming industry has undergone significant technological advancements aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and animal welfare. Efficient monitoring systems play a crucial role in improving outputs, and this study focuses on optimizing RFID sensor networks in poultry farms through the Taguchi method. This robust statistical technique identifies the most influential factors in a process, thereby enhancing product quality. Our analysis revealed that the optimal combination of reader distance and power significantly improved tag readability and sensing range. These findings enable poultry farmers to fine-tune RFID systems for enhanced monitoring. Furthermore, this research provides valuable insights into the application of advanced techniques in agriculture, promoting innovative technologies for effective poultry farm management.
