METHOD OF STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF FRICTIONALAND THERMAL PHENOMENA IN SELECTED FRICTION NODES

The use of thermographic techniques or contact temperature measurements in diagnostics can be a richsource of information on the technical condition of the object examined. The application of diagnostics usingthermographic techniques allows for the precise localization of malfunctioning machine components andenables effective repair without replacing properly functioning parts. This is particularly important in bearingelements, where relative rotational movement generates significant heat due to friction between cooperatingcomponents. This article presents the results of studies on selected friction joints working under variousoperating conditions. Based on the results obtained from the measurement and using statistical tools, a methodwas developed to evaluate the correct operation of the selected friction nodes The verification of the developedtest method was carried out on the results obtained from thermal imaging measurements.
