Research progress and prospects of accelerated life testing and accelerated degradation testing for aviation fuel gear pump
<?A3B2 tlb=1.45h?> The aviation fuel gear pump served long-term in harsh environments of high speed, high pressure, and high temperature, and its lifespan and reliability have become significant bottlenecks in enhancing the performance of engine fuel systems. Accelerated life and degradation tests are important means to evaluate the lifespan and reliability of fuel gear pumps. The failure modes of fuel gear pumps were analyzed and the methods of accelerated life testing and accelerated degradation testing for fuel gear pumps were systematically organized both domestically and internationally. The models of physical failure life prediction and data-driven life prediction were summarized. The technical characteristics of accelerated life testing and accelerated degradation testing of fuel gear pumps were analyzed. It is concluded that future technology for accelerated testing of fuel gear pumps could integrate equivalent accelerated life testing, Brownian motion-based accelerated degradation testing, and historical data from small sample accelerated life testing. This integration can enable parameter updates of accelerated stress levels and acceleration factors, thereby improving life prediction accuracy and reducing testing costs.
