Fusion dynamics of mass-symmetric 46Ti+46Ti system

This work explored the fusion dynamics of mass symmetric system [Formula: see text] in the sub-barrier energy region by implementing the SAGBD model and coupled channel approach. The sensitivity of potential parameters Woods–Saxon potential is also analyzed by opting for different diffuseness schemes such as Winther & Akyüz-Winther diffuseness within the groundwork of the SAGBD model but such estimated results remain underpredicted relative to the experimental data in sub-barrier domains. To improve the predictions, the diffuseness parameter is optimized relative to the Winther and Akyüz-Winther values. Using an optimum diffuseness within the SAGBD model, the calculations readily retrieved experimental data of a given reaction. In the SAGBD model, the simple Wong formula is weighted by Gaussian function and the use of such weight function is capable of retrieving the impacts of dominant channel couplings linked with the nuclear structure of fusion partners. Coupled channel calculations depict that coupling to 2[Formula: see text] and 3 − vibrational states of fusing pairs plays a very important role in enhancing the sub-barrier fusion data. By considering multiphonon states such as two phonon 2[Formula: see text] & one phonon 3 − for projectile and two phonon 2[Formula: see text] & one phonon 3 − for target, the coupled channel outputs fairly explained the observed fusion dynamics of the selected system.
