Leakage based multi-point transmission for UAM in Integrated Satellite and Terrestrial Network

This paper investigates multi-point transmission schemes for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) within the framework of Integrated Satellite and Terrestrial Networks (ISTN). While existing studies have focused on independent connections between terrestrial and satellite networks, this work is the first to explore multi-point transmission specifically for UAM in aerial environments. Based on this investigation, we propose a novel leakage based multi-point transmission scheme that adaptively applies dynamic point selection and joint transmission based on sector leakage levels to mitigate interference and enhance low-SINR UAM unit performance. System-level simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves 12.65% reliability improvement compared to dynamic point selection and 6.1% enhancement compared to joint transmission.
