Screening Aging and Homelessness

Abstract This special issue on Homelessness and Older Adults offers us the opportunity to consider how both fiction and nonfiction films address this topic and what kinds of insights they offer. In exploring this significant issue, we decided to address fiction and nonfiction films separately. Rose Capp discusses a selection of feature fiction films from the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, whereas Jim VandenBosch explores an expansive range of short and feature-length documentaries from Portland to Finland.
