Assessment of atmospheric air quality in various functional zones of the Western Administrative District of Moscow using the lichen indication method
In the city, anthropogenic pressure inevitably leads to an increase in the levels and spatial extent of adverse impacts on the natural environment. The development of effective methods aimed at regulating anthropogenic load is impossible without verified information about the state of ecological systems and trends in changes occurring in them. Such information can be obtained within the framework of a comprehensive monitoring system. An important role in this process is played by biological indication, in particular, lichen indication, which was considered as the main method of monitoring air pollution in this work. In the course of the research, the types of lichens were identified, the area of projective coverings of lichens was assessed, the tolerance index was calculated, and a comparative description of the biological diversity of lichens in the recreational, residential and industrial zones of the Western Administrative District of Moscow was given.
